2025 was not an easy year for the evolve team. For a young brand stepping into an already highly competitive market, the timing was far from perfect. But it was also the moment when everything was finally ready to bloom. evolve could no longer wait to share its philosophy, its design language, and its products with cyclists around the world.

With deep gratitude, evolve reaches the end of 2025 feeling fulfilled and rewarded. This year was anything but ordinary for everyone behind the brand. It was a year of challenges, obstacles, and pressure, but also a year filled with belief, resilience, and hope, laying the foundation for an even stronger future.

March · Copenhagen, Denmark

The first public appearance of the CIMA frameset actually took place at the Copenhagen Bike Show — an established and energetic platform. At that time, the paintwork was not yet final and some details were still under discussion, but the product itself was already ready to face the market.

Exhibiting alongside Elitewheels, evolve received strong positive feedback from European cyclists, who showed genuine interest in both the product and the brand identity. “We can’t wait to ride it!” That was the moment we knew: Yes, the time has come.

May · Shanghai, China

In May, evolve officially launched its brand and flagship product CIMA in Shanghai, during Shanghai International Bike Show, an international stage surrounded by some of the most innovative cycling brands in the industry.

With its 4.95 kg ultra-lightweight complete bike, evolve quickly captured attention and left a strong impression.

People began asking: Where does this brand come from?

The answer lies in preparation.

evolve did not appear overnight. The brand was incubated for nearly three years, shaped by long-term R&D, engineering refinement, and manufacturing validation.

One of evolve’s co-founders, Tony Tong, brings decades of experience from leading Elitewheels to become the most successful overseas Chinese wheel brand. Another co-founder, Mian Chan, is also a co-founder of Cybrei, a rising force in high-performance cranksets. Having started cycling in his early teens, Mian is also a UCI-registered professional rider.

Together, they combined professionalism, passion, experience, and real-world racing insight to bring evolve to life. Every step was deliberate. Every decision was grounded. Looking back, evolve’s path has been clear and steady from the very beginning.

Shanghai proved to be the perfect ballroom for evolve to fully express its energy and expertise. With industry professionals, media, and cyclists gathering from all directions, including international YouTubers and channels such as GCN, Trace Velo, China Cycling, GPLama, and more, the event turned into a true exchange of ideas and passion.

With over 157 thousands visitors and attendees from over 144 countries and regions, the Shanghai International Bike Show proved once again why it stands among the world’s most influential cycling exhibitions, offering a creative stage for innovation and collaboration.

This is a right chance to bring CIMA, this all-round performance weapon, to anyone who’s waiting for something new. CIMA is positioned as evolve’s flagship performance road frameset. From the very beginning, the goal was clear: to offer cyclists a true all-round machine, adaptable to different riding scenarios while delivering uncompromising performance on the race course.

Using premium TORAYCA T1100, T800, and M40 high-modulus carbon fibers, the unpainted size-M frame weighs just 650 g. Great care is also taken with paint weight, with each paint scheme strictly controlled and transparently displayed on the evolve website on the products pages, a reflection of the brand’s respect for riders and honesty in communication.

Lightweight alone is never enough. Every evolve frame undergoes more than 21 internal testing procedures, and is also independently tested by Zedler Institute in Germany — one of the most respected testing authorities in the cycling industry. CIMA successfully passed Zedler’s highest certification level, Advanced, proving that it delivers not only lightness, but also the stiffness and strength required for aggressive sprinting and high-intensity racing.

To further optimize performance, evolve brought CIMA to the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub in the UK for aerodynamic testing. The results, published in a detailed whitepaper, confirmed that when paired with the KREUZA Slice aerodynamic bottles and cages, CIMA saves an average of over 4.1 watts, and a time saving of 48 seconds over a 40 km effort at a constant 300W output.

Beyond performance, CIMA is also a work of art. Each paint scheme is inspired by nature, and the concept is instantly clear the moment you hear its name: Mist, Nirvana, Streams, Emerge, and the two newly launched colorways introduced in November—Wilderness and Adrift. These are not decorative labels, but visual interpretations of movement, flow, and emotion found in the natural world. Cycling, after all, is inseparable from nature, right?

June · Frankfurt, Germany

Eurobike, the heart of the European cycling industry, was an opportunity evolve could not miss. Despite an unfortunate incident where the only fully built display bike was stolen before the first show day, the event was still a success. Eurobike offered evolve the chance to connect directly with the European market, feel its energy, and engage in meaningful conversations with cyclists and industry professionals alike.

Beyond major exhibitions, evolve also left its footprint at Sea Otter Classic (USA), Cycle Mode (Tokyo), Sea Otter Europe (Spain), and Shimano Fest (São Paulo). Wherever there is a chance to connect with cyclists and strengthen brand presence, evolve is willing to show up and try.

This journey has always been a two-way commitment — and evolve remains deeply thankful for the trust and expectations placed in the brand.

True to its motto, evolve puts extraordinary attention into details, from integrated number-plate holders on seatposts to aero timingchip chip holder hiding behind the forks, all designed to make riding efficient, simpler and more enjoyable.

Through its accessory brand KREUZA, evolve also develops functional, lightweight, and accessible components to elevate the riding experience.  Products like the KREUZA Apex one-piece handlebar gained recognition during Eurobike, including praise from engineering-focused YouTuber Hambini. Even more products are already on the way for 2026, as KREUZA continues to grow as evolve’s most trusted partner.

Looking Forward to 2026

2026 marks a new beginning. evolve is moving forward with confidence, actively preparing its next product lineup and staying focused on one unwavering goal: to be a better choice for cyclists worldwide: accompanying them through every ride, every race, and every unforgettable moment on the road.
